The She Leads Podcast, with Adrienne Garland
The She Leads Podcast, hosted by Adrienne Garland, is the podcast for women leaders and women entrepreneurs who are sick of sugar coating what they say and how they say it. Each week, Adrienne explores entrepreneurial stories, businesses, and challenges that women entrepreneurs face with a wide range of guests who are open to sharing their authentic stories in a refreshing and real way. For far too long, women have been sugar coating our voices, thoughts, and opinions, but that stops here and now! The She Leads Podcast, formerly Sugar Coated, is the place where women leaders can express their brilliance without sugar-coating anything. This podcast offers a platform for super-practical, actionable advice for women to overcome challenges and to make a significant impact on our families, our communities, and our world. Adrienne Garland, CEO of She Leads Media - entrepreneur, media producer, and adjunct professor rejects the notion that women must be deferential to those currently in power and pull back our opinions. Build Communities & Tell Stories That Ignite Change with Erin Prather Stafford

Education and support are crucial for helping more young women access and explore a future in the arts. Erin Prather Stafford is the Founder of Girls That Create, where she provides resources that help to empower women of all ages to think creatively and pursue their creative passions. Women creators are greatly underrepresented in the media, and because of this, we are seeing a lack of inspiring and motivational messages for today's young women. To start tipping the scales, we need to start having conversations with young women as early as possible, and educate them about the resources they need to pursue their creative interests. While respecting the boundaries of our time and value, we need to be more adamant about sponsoring and mentoring the women we believe in so they can chase the creative life of their dreams. Help support woman creatives by engaging with their work!

Notes
👧 Erin loves to build communities and tell stories that ignite change: she created a site that provides resources to help parents and caregivers of creative girls. 02:26
💲 Girls That Create helps parents talk with kids about substance abuse and financial skill sets and support them in their creative career choices: just because you're creative doesn't mean you'll be a starving artist. 09:07
👩‍🎨 Your biggest gift is time: study arts if you love it, but don't forget to take internships and jobs while pursuing the degree. 13:56
📣 One of Girls That Create’s most popular posts is about helping girls use their voice: take the Wonder Woman power pose before you act. 16:26
🤝 Mentorship and sponsorship are not the same thing, but both help people you believe in: if you're willing to go out and be vulnerable, many people will want to help you. 19:35
📚 When people ask for favors, you should have some resources available but also have boundaries and charging rates. 24:44
💜 The easiest, most simple way to support women creatives is to go see their work. 29:38
